Cosmedix Skincare Review & Giveaway **OVER**

The wonderful folks over at Cosmedix sent me their Liquid Crystals Holiday Bundle and their Clear Kit to review.  I just love getting the opportunity to try new facial products!  I’m always on the hunt for good skincare products, especially facial products.

A little bit about Cosmedix:  “CosMedix is a leading clinic aesthetics company that provides skin care professionals and consumers with the most effective corrective products to enhance the physiology of the skin. From prevention and correction to “whole”istic nutrition, CosMedix is committed to the health and well-being of our patrons.”

First I’d like to talk about the Cosmedix Liquid Crystals Holiday Bundle that I’m using.  This holiday bundle comes with a 1 oz Emulsion and a .25 oz Opti Crystal.

I’ve been using the Opti Crystal around my eyes and lips.  I apply this once in the morning and once before bed.  I’ve only been using it for 11 days and have noticed a big difference!  The fine lines around my eyes and lips aren’t quite as noticeable as they were before and these areas are also very moist.  You only need to apply a very small amount.  So, the .25 oz bottle should last a pretty long time!

  • Emulsion Intense Hydrator – this deep-penetrating moisturizer quenches and soothes dry skin as it combats irritation, particularly following aggressive exfoliation.

I’ve also been using the Emulsion once a day,  for 11 days.  I really like the scent and the way that the Emulsion hydrates my skin.  I have a problem with dry skin, especially in the winter, and this product is doing a wonderful job of making my face feel soft and smooth. When applied, the Emulsion has a light feel and doesn’t leave my skin oily or my pores feeling clogged.  I love it!

Next up is the Cosmedix Clear 3-Piece Kit,  a concentrated regimen designed to effectively cleanse, clarify and correct oily, problem skin for a healthy, blemish-free complexion.

I love a good exfoliating cleanser, but I don’t care much for an exfoliator that is granular.  Those kinds of exfoliators make my skin burn and it just feels raw and vulnerable afterwards.  The Cosmedix Purity Clean is not like that at all.  It is a creamy cleanser that leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed.  The light peppermint scent is a great wake-me-up in the mornings!

  • Refine - this vitamin A refinishing treatment encourages the appearance for a clearer, smoother, balanced complexion. Net Wt. .24 fl oz/7 ml

I’ve never tried a facial product with retinol, so I was very eager to try the Refine by Cosmedix.  The retinol in Refine  comes from something called AGP Complex, which is Cosmedix’s patented Vitamin A delivery system.

Cosmedix recommends using this product every few days and work up to increased usage as your skin learns to tolerate it.  I started using the Refine 7 days ago and have been applying it every other night.  Within a few days of using this product, my skin tone is more even and my face feels firmer.  I did have some mild peeling  after the second application.  From what I’ve read, this is a sign that the Refine is working.

  • Clarity Serum - calm and clarify irritable, problem skin with this potent blend of witch hazel, willow herb and vitamin A. Net Wt. .24 fl oz/7 ml

I’ve never really had much of a problem with acne.  I mainly have hormonal acne.  You know, the bumps that appear letting you know that your period is on it’s way.  Mine are usually the deep, cyst-like bumps which are painful and impossible to get rid of quickly.  Much to my dismay, I received one of those nasty bumps last week.  However, it was not nearly as big nor did it last as long as they usually do. Since I’ve only been using the Clarity for 7 days and have already seen an improvement, I’m hoping that with continued use of Clarity, I won’t be getting any bumps at all from now on.

If you’re in the market for some great new skincare, you should really consider purchasing some of Cosmedix’s products.  I can honestly say that the products I have tried have all been great and that I will continue to purchase them.  They are a bit pricey, but I believe are well worth it!
